Creating Tomorrow's Champions Today
Since 1967, the Marlboro Pop Warner football and cheerleading program has provided boys and girls of all ages an opportunity to develop their technical and emotional skills.
The goal of the program is to balance athletics and scholastics in order to develop well-rounded boys and girls who learn the fundamentals of football and cheerleading. The importance of education and learning life lessons is stressed, and the games and practices are run in a fun atmosphere conducive to developing character.
Attention Head Coaches - Mandatory Online Coaching Clinic
All Head coaches are required to take the USA Football Coaching School online clinic by August 1. Go to http://www.usafootball.com/pop_warner to complete the registration form and take the online course.
Rutgers S.A.F.E.T.Y. Clinic
All coaches must be Rutgers certified. Upcoming clinic date:
- Saturday, July 19 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Toms River South HS (Hyers Street, Toms River, NJ) - Registration begins @ 8:30 AM.
Cost is $25 per person (cash only). For more information, contact Gregg S. Heinzmann, Director of Rutgers Youth Sports Research Clinic @ 732-932-7178. Please arrive on time. You will not be admitted once the program begins.
2008 Season Information (Update as of June 16)
Practice starts Friday, August 1.
Birth Certificate Certification Nights will be held at the field house on July 30 & 31.
Your coach will arrange a meeting to gather all of the documentation. It is mandatory that you attend the scheduled meeting for your team. All of the documentation must be submitted. Your child will not be allowed to participate until the information is certified.
Avoid the rush - schedule your physicals now!
New Players
You need to bring the following to certification night:
- Physical Form completed - you can download the physical form (see forms section on this page at the bottom right). The form needs to be signed AND stamped by your doctor.
- 2 copies of June's report card (not needed for flag football and cheer level).
- Original AND copy of birth certificate that will be certified by Marlboro Pop Warner.
- Photo (similar to a passport shot)
Returning Players
You need to bring the following to certification night:
- Physical form completed - you can download the physical form (see forms section on this page at the bottom right). The form needs to be signed AND stamped by your doctor.
- 2 copies of June report Card not needed for flag football and cheer level).
- Updated Photo (similar to a passport shot)
$25 Physicals / No Appointment Necessary
Having a problem getting an apopointment with your doctor to get child's physical?
ExpressCare inside the Brick Shop-Rite offers $25 physicals for sports, camp, and school-related physicals. They also accept most insurance company co-pays (whichever is less).
Walk-in service is Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM or Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

General Meetings
Our general meetings are not just for coaches. We encourage parents to attend these meetings as well. Join us on the second Thursday of every month at 8:00 PM at the field house. The next meeting is August 14.
